4 star Bed & Breakfast 1.5 miles from Bishops Castle Shropshire.
As seen in Country Living Guide to Rural England
Middle Woodbatch is a 17th century farmhouse, on a family run working livestock farm. A warm Shropshire welcome and a friendly relaxed atmosphere awaits for all those who visit.
The farm stands in a beautiful, tranquil spot on the English/Welsh border, 1.5 miles from the small market town of Bishops Castle in a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
From its elevated rural location the house commands breath taking views of the Shropshire hills and The Long Mynd. Our location is perfect for Walkers, Cyclists and Horseriders.
We are surrounded by an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways.
We have the Shropshire Way & The Blue Remembered Hills bridleways, coming through our farm yard. We are also a stonesthrow away from The Kerry Ridgeway, Offa's Dyke, The Jack Mytton Way, The B.C. Ring and the Long Mynd.
Our secluded rural location also provides the perfect place to be able to watch the abundance of bird and wildlife that surrounds us. Fox, badger, owls, red kite, deer, buzzard & sparrowhawk to name but a few. During the summer, House Martins and Swallows use the farm as their summer retreat.
As we are located in an Environmentally Sensitive Area, great care has been taken to minimise our impact on the environment. Wherever possible, we use only the best
homegrown or local produce. We provide full recycling facilities. All toilets are duel flush to save water and low energy bulbs are used for lighting.
