The history of Bishop's Castle dates right back to the eigth century and King Offa'. There is so much to find out about this period around the area and a walk along Offa's Dyke makes for a nice day out.
Today the town has a thriving market, quaint shops adorn the high street with local produce being sold as well as boasting the largest cattle/sheep market in Shropshire. Not far from Bishops Castle is Church Stretton, Ludlow, and Shrewsbury. However nestled within the area are castles and views to make you believe you are in another world. Bishops Castle lies within a Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty.
Whilst out and about on your travels around the Clun Valley and Bishops Castle why not take in some of the local produce at quaint eating establishments.
